The concept "honor" ("honour" ) and its phraseological representation in the Spanish and Russian view of world (based on the language material of the novels "The duel" (Poyedinok) by Aleksandr Kuprin and "The Fencing Master" (El maestro de esgrima) by Arturo Pérez-Reverte)

Abstract

В данной дипломной работе на стыке трех дисциплин — фразеологии, когнитивной лингвистики и культурологии — анализируется концепт «honor» («честь»). В работе концепт рассматривается как неотъемлемый элемент картины мира, и анализируются лексические и фразеологические способы выражения концепта чести в испанском и русском языках. Кажется, что под испанским «honor» и русским словом «честь» понимается одно и то же качество, свойство, человека, но в двух культурах они интерпретируются по-разному. Материалом исследования послужили словарные дефиниции, примеры популярных испанских песен и два произведения — романы «Поединок» А.И. Куприна и «Учитель фехтования» Артуро Переса-Реверте (в оригинале и переводе).

The diploma thesis sits at the junction of three disciplines: phraseology, сognitive linguistics, culturology and analyzes the concept «honor» («honour»). The concept is considered as essential element of view of world. In the thesis lexical and phraseological representation of Spanish and Russian concept «honor» is analyzed. It seems that the Spanish «honor» and Russian «honour» mean the same human quality, but actually they are interpreted differently. The diploma is based on the the language material of dictionary entries, texts of some popular Spanish songs and the novels “The Duel” (Poyedinok) by Aleksandr Kuprin and “The Fencing Master” (El maestro de esgrima) by Arturo Pérez-Reverte.
