Colour sinestems in Chinese and English

Abstract

В предлагаемой работе сделана попытка исследования звуко-цветовых ассоциаций в процессе обучении иностранным языкам. Согласно современным методам исследований звук воздействует на сознание человека. Опираясь на символы, связанные с тем или иным цветом, можно добиться эффективного запоминания новых лексических единиц, поэтому объектом работы являются цветовые синестемы в английском и китайском языках. В настоящем исследовании проанализированы понятия синестезии, синестемии, звукосимволизма по научным источникам, рассмотрены роль и место понятия «цвет» в культуре разных народов и понятие фразеологической единицы. Цель настоящей дипломной работы - пронаблюдать соотношение звукового ряда фразеологических единиц с цветовым компонентом и их значениями. Основное внимание уделено анализу английских и китайских идиом с использованием названий цветов и их оттенков.

In this paper, an attempt has been made to study sound-color associations in the process of teaching foreign languages. According to modern research methods, the sound affects human consciousness. Based on the symbols associated with a particular color, you can achieve effective memorizing of new lexical units, and it is why, the subject of this study is color sinestems in English and Chinese. |The present work analyzes the concepts of synaesthesia, synesthemia, and sound-color associative property, based on academic sources, discusses the role and place of the concept of "color" in the culture of different nations and the concept of phraseological units. The aim of this diploma work is to observe the relation between the sound sequence of phraseological units, the color component and their meanings. The main focus of this work is analysis of English and Chinese idioms using the names of colors and their shades.
