Peculiarities of Lorenzo da Ponte's libretto language: A case study of the opera "Le nozze di Figaro"

Abstract

В работе представлено исследование языковых особенностей либретто Лоренцо да Понте к опере В. А. Моцарта «Свадьба Фигаро». Актуальность исследования обусловлена недостаточной изученностью жанра либретто вообще и в частности произведений Лоренцо да Понте, автора, по праву вошедшего в историю итальянской литературы. Если некоторые литературоведческие проблемы «Свадьбы Фигаро» уже были освещены, то лингвистический аспект до сих пор оставался без внимания. Материалом для данной работы послужили текст либретто оперы В. А. Моцарта «Свадьба Фигаро» под редакцией Э. Бономи, которая воспроизводит автограф Л. да Понте. Цель исследования заключается в анализе и систематизации языкового материала либретто с использованием теоретических трудов по истории итальянского языка. Настоящая работа состоит из оглавления, введения, двух глав, заключения и списка использованной литературы. Первая глава посвящена истории создания либретто и его особенностям, текстологической проблеме изучения либретто, проблеме описания лингвистических особенностей и роли исторического контекста. Во второй главе представлен анализ фонетических, морфологических и микросинтаксических особенностей языка либретто. В заключении подведены итоги исследования.

This bachelor dissertation is dedicated to linguistic aspects of Lorenzo da Ponte's libretto for W. A. Mozart's opera "Le Nozze di Figaro ". The relevance of the dissertation is due to the insufficient study of the libretto genre in general and in particular the works by Lorenzo da Ponte, the author who entered the history of Italian literature. If some of the literary problems of ''Le Nozze di Figaro’’ have already been covered, the linguistic aspect has so far been ignored. This research leans on the material of the libretto of the opera by W.A. Mozart "Le Nozze di Figaro " in edition by E. Bonomi, which reproduces the autograph by Lorenzo da Ponte. The purpose of the study is to analyze and systematize the linguistic material of the libretto using theoretical works on the history of the Italian language. The dissertation consists of a table of contents, an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion and a list of references. The first chapter covers The first chapter is devoted to the history of the creation of the libretto and its features, the textological problem of studying the libretto, the problem of describing linguistic features and the role of the historical context. The second chapter presents an analysis of the phonetic, morphological and microsyntactic features of the libretto language. In conclusion are summarized the results of the study.
