Translation of Greek proper names into German and Russian

Abstract

Данная выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена греческим именам собственным и их эквивалентам в русском и немецком языках. Работа состоит из двух частей. В первой рассматриваются топонимы и антропонимы, способы их передачи на разные языки, а также тип текста «путеводитель». Во второй части сравниваются греческие и древнегреческие имена и названия с их русскими и немецкими эквивалентами. Актуальность работы обусловлена малой изученностью имен собственных греческого происхождения. В конце каждой главы сделаны соответствующие выводы. В заключении обобщены итоги практической работы. Работа состоит из 56 страниц, в том числе 56 источников.

This graduation thesis is dedicated to Greek proper names and their equivalents in Russian and German. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part contains analysis of toponyms and anthroponyms, as well as ways of translating them into other languages and the 'guide' type of texts. In the second part Greek and ancient Greek names are juxtaposed with their Russian and German equivalents. The topic of this thesis is relevant because proper names of Greek origin are still understudied. Both parts end in corresponding conclusions. The final conclusion gives the overall results of the practical aspects of the research. The thesis contains 56 pages; 56 source texts were used.
