The typology of translation errors as illustrated by the Spanish translations of Nikolai Gogol's works

Abstract

В данной квалификационной работе рассматриваются проблемы переводческой эрратологии. В ней представлены основные аспекты теории перевода, трудности перевода и причины возникновения ошибок. Главной целью данной работы является изучение явления переводческой ошибки, анализ существующих классификаций ошибок и разработка обобщенной классификации. В первой главе речь идет о целях перевода и основных трудностях, возникающих в процессе перевода, которые могут привести к совершению ошибок. Вторая глава посвящена понятию переводческой ошибки, трудностям ее определения, видам и причинам ошибок. В третьей главе представлен осуществленный анализ двух переводов повести Н. Гоголя «Тарас Бульба» на испанский язык в соответствии с разработанной общей классификацией.

This diploma thesis deals with problems of erratology in translation. It represents some of the basic aspects of the theory of translation, difficulties in translation and causes of errors. The main purpose of this work is to study the phenomenon of mistakes in translation, analyze the existing classifications and elaborate a generic one. In the first chapter, the purposes of translation and the difficulties that may cause errors are described. The second chapter is dedicated to the phenomenon of translation mistake, the problems in identifying errors in translation, types and causes of mistakes. In the third chapter, two translations of N. Gogol’s novel “Taras Bulba” into Spanish are analyzed according to the elaborated generic classification.
