The issues of translating epistemological terminology (a case study of Russian translations of the English philosophy of Modern Time)

Abstract

Настоящая работа посвящена исследованию проблем перевода английской эпистемологической терминологии. В ходе работы было установлено, что для философского термина характерно отсутствие четких границ понятийного содержания, полисемия и непосредственная зависимость от авторской концепции. Анализ перевода эпистемологических терминов показал, что единообразие перевода зависит от степени полиморфизма термина и влияния на него философской концепции автора.

The graduation paper covers the issues of translating English epistemological terminology. The research shows that philosophical terms are characterized by the lack of strict boundaries of their semantic content, polysemy and dependence on the author’s philosophical perspective. The analysis of epistemological terminology translation proves that translation uniformity is subject to polymorphism of the term and its dependence on the author’s philosophical perspective.
