Text linguistics: typological and comparative analysis of the translations of André Chénier’s poems into Russian and English

Abstract

Данная работа посвящена вопросам лингвистической организации и функционирования поэтических текстов, особенностям грамматических структур и лексических словоупотреблений, которые отличают поэтический текст от прозаического, способам его передачи на другие языки. Все эти вопросы поднимаются при изучении особенностей поэтического языка Андре Шенье и иных поэтов XVIII века и переводов их стихотворений на русский и английский языки. Актуальность предлагаемой работы определяется тем, что лингвистические особенности поэтического текста и его отличия от прозаического текста и, в частности, особенности языка в поэтических текстах Андре Шенье и иных поэтов XVIII века не были ранее изучены с лингвистической точки зрения и в аспекте перевода.

This work is devoted to the issues of linguistic organization and functioning of poetic texts, peculiarities of grammatical structures and lexical word-use, which distinguish a poetic text from a prose, and ways of its transmission to other languages. All these questions are raised in the study of the features of the poetic language of André Chenier and other poets of the XVIII century and the translations of their poems into Russian and English. The relevance of the proposed work is determined by the fact that the linguistic features of the poetic text ans its difference from the prose text and, in particular, the peculiarities of the language in the poetic texts of André Chenier and other poets of his century were not previously studied from the linguistic point on view and in the aspect of translation.
