Terminology as the main direction of the French language policy in postmodern era

Abstract

Работа посвящена проблемам языковой политики Франции. Франция, страна с очень крепкой связью между нацией и языком, как никакое другое европейское государство, была привержена идее языкового протекционизма. Попытки защиты французского языка от внешнего воздействия выражались прежде всего в активной борьбе с англицизмами. Однако сложности защиты и сохранения французского языка обусловлены не только гегемонией английского языка, но также и с противоречивой идеологией самой Франции в отношении своего языка.

This work is devoted to the problems of the French language policy. France, being a country with a very strong connection between nation and language, like no other European state, was always exposed to the idea of ​​linguistic protectionism. These attempts to protect the French language from external influences are expressed primarily in the active struggle against English terms in professional languages. However, the difficulties of maintaining and preserving the French language are connected not only with the hegemony of the English language, but also with the contradictory ideology of France itself regarding its language.
