Functional semantics of the antonymo-synonymic unit "худой – толстый" ("thin – fat") in Modern Russian

Abstract

Выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена функционально-семантическому анализу русских имен прилагательных, входящих в антонимо-синонимический блок прилагательных, характеризующих фигуру человека. В работе представлена классификация 27 лексических единиц русского языка, входящих в изучаемый антонимо-синонимический блок. Проведен комплексный лингвистический анализ двух синонимических рядов прилагательных, входящих в выбранный блок, что подразумевает компонентный анализ значения единиц, анализ их сочетаемости, определение стилистической отнесенности единиц и прагматического компонента значения. Выявлены сходства и различия в семантике и функционировании русских синонимичных прилагательных. Определены параметры лингвистического описания русских синонимичных прилагательных для их дальнейшей презентации в иностранной аудитории.

Graduation thesis is devoted to the functional semantic analysis of the Russian adjectives constituting a part of the antonymic-synonymic block of the adjectives characterizing the shape of the person. The paper presents a classification of 27 lexical units of the Russian language within the studied antonymic-synonymic block. A complex linguistic analysis of two synonymous series of adjectives included in the selected block was carried out. This implies a component analysis of the meaning of units, an analysis of their combinability, a definition of the stylistic attribution of units and a pragmatic component of the meaning. Similarities and distinctions in semantics and functioning of the Russian synonymous adjectives have been revealed. Parameters of the linguistic description of the Russian synonymous adjectives for their further presentation to a foreign audience have been determined.
