Linguistic means of expressing definitive relations in academic texts in physics

Abstract

В выпускной квалификационной работе рассматриваются проблемы исследования определительных конструкций в русском языке, в частности, вопросы семантической структуры этих языковых единиц. Ставится задача их системного анализа с учетом синтагматических и парадигматических признаков, а также выявления основных функций определений на основе их структурных и семантических особенностей. В первой главе на основе изученных источников раскрывается понятие ″определительные отношения″ и дается определение термина, описываются виды определений в русском языке, способы выражения определительных отношений и связь определения с определяемым словом. Во второй главе анализируются контексты с определительными конструкциями и предложена классификация определений, характерных для учебно-научного текста. Результаты проведенного исследования могут использоваться для спецсеминаров по современному русскому языку, а также в практике преподавания РКИ (научный стиль речи). Семантическая классификация средств выражения определительных отношений может оказать помощь переводчикам с китайского языка на русский и с русского языка на китайский.

The graduate qualification paper deals with the issues of studying definitive structures in the Russian language; the bachelor thesis particularly addresses the question of the semantic structure of such linguistic units. The objective is to analyze these units systematically with account of their syntagmatic and paradigmatic features as well as to elicit the main functions of attributes based on their structural and semantic characteristics. The first chapter articulates and defines the term "definitive relations" on the basis of the studied literature and describes the types of attributes in the Russian language, the ways of expressing definitive relations and the connection between the attribute and the definiendum. The second chapter analyzes contexts containing definitive structures and and suggests a classification of attributes, typical for academic texts. The results of the conducted research can be applied in specialized seminars on the modern Russian language as well as in teaching Russian as a foreign language (scientific prose style). The semantic classification of linguistic means of expressing definitive relations can be a useful resource for Chinese-Russian and Russian-Chinese translators.
