Representation of feelings and emotional states in Anglophone children literature

Abstract

Данная работа рассматривает языковые способы репрезентации чувственно-эмоциональных состояний в англоязычной литературе на основе материала художественной литературы для юношества и детства. С помощью комплексного анализа языковых элементов с опорой на методологические принципы лингвокультурологии и психолингвистики были выявлены эмотивные элементы как языковые репрезентации чувственных и эмоциональных состояний художественного персонажа. Охарактеризованы основные особенности различия языковой реализации эмоциональных состояний в литературном контексте и чувственных состояний в литературном контексте.

This work examines the linguistic means of representation of feeling and emotional states in English literature based on the material of modern fiction for youth and childhood. A comprehensive analysis of linguistic elements based on the methodological principles of linguistics studies and psycholinguistics. Emotive elements as linguistic representations of the feeling and emotional states of the fictional characters were identified. The main features of the difference in the linguistic representation of emotional states in the literary context and feeling states in the literary context were characterized.
