Literary concept "nature" and its language representation in the English novels

Abstract

В данной выпускной квалификационной работе рассматриваются художественный концепт как структурно-семантическая единица художественной картины мира, лингвистические типологии и модели художественного концепта. В работе проводится анализ репрезентации художественного концепта NATURE на различных языковых уровнях текста, а также исследуются когнитивные механизмы формирования художественного концепта NATURE в английском романе XX-XXI веков. Особое внимание уделяется интерпретации концептуальных сравнений, эпитетов, метафор, метонимий, так как данные когнитивные механизмы позволяют судить о взаимодействии концептов. На заключительном этапе моделирования концепта рассматривается прагматическая функция ХК NATURE на уровне текста и в рамках англоязычного художественного дискурса.

A concept is a complex mental formation that belongs to a person's consciousness. Being the result of the creative activity of the author, the concept has both an epistemic and an emotional-evaluative component. In the English novel of the XX-XXI centuries, the concept NATURE has a figurative and interpretative nature. Cognitive signs reflect the sensory perception of native speakers about the concept and their attitude to it. This paper provides a component analysis of the semantics of the linguistic representations of the concept NATURE and its cognitive interpretation based on contextual analysis of several novels by English authors. The interpretation of conceptual areas in the authors' works allows us to understand the features of the author's idiosyncrasy.
