Russian Orthodox Church policy in post-Soviet area

Abstract

Данная работа посвящена деятельности Русской православной церкви в бывших советских республиках. Приведены данные по основным направлениям и принципам внешней политики РПЦ; региональная специфика; оказываемый эффект действий церкви на позиции России в регионах. Помимо этого рассматривается место церкви в политической системе России; кратко освещено как развитие отношений Московского Патриархата и государства, так и текущие точки сотрудничества.

This research is devoted to the activities of the Russian Orthodox in the former Soviet republics. It shows the data on the main directions and principles of the foreign policy of the Russian Orthodox Church. Also questions as regional specificity and effects on reputation of Russia in regions caused by activities of the Church are considered. In addition, a problem of a place of church in a political system of Russia and a problem of development of the relations of the Moscow Patriarchate and the state as well as the current points of cooperation are regarded.
