Functional semantics of the lexico-semantic group "Ecology" as illustrated by modern Russian press

Abstract

Исследование посвящено функционально-семантическому анализу лексико-тематической группы «Экология». В работе исследуются основные подходы, точки зрения ученых относительно лексико-тематической группы с позиции функционально-семантического анализа. В процессе анализа определяются принципы организации лексико-семантических групп, входящих в лексико-тематическую группу «Экология», полученная в ходе исследования информация систематизирована и определена в группы единиц по частотности использования. Кроме того, в работе определена национальная специфика лексико-тематической группы «Экология» на фоне соответствующей группы китайского языка. В качестве материалов исследования использовались контексты употребления единиц лексико-тематической группы «Экология» в российских и китайских журналах. В работе используются методы семантического, стилистического и этимологического анализа, а также приемы сплошной выборки текста и формализации результатов.

The research is devoted to the functional-semantic analysis of the lexico-thematic group "Ecology". The paper explores the major approaches, scientists’ points of view regarding the lexico-thematic group in terms of functional-semantic analysis. In the process of analysis, the principles of organization of the lexico-semantic groups forming the lexico-thematic group "Ecology" are determined; the information obtained in the course of the research is systematized and distributed into unit groups by frequency of usage. In addition, the national specificity of the lexico-thematic group "Ecology" is identified against the background of the relevant group in the Chinese language. The contexts of usage of the units of the lexico-thematic group "Ecology" in the Russian and Chinese journals were used as research materials. The paper uses the methods of semantic, stylistic and etymological analysis, as well as the methods of continuous sampling of the text and formalization of results.
