Compositional devices and linguistic means of generating communicative tension in the "culmination" structural element of fictional narrative

Abstract

Данная работа посвящена изучению лингвистических средств и приемов создания коммуникативного напряжения в кульминации как структурном элементе художественного нарратив, а также проблеме восприятия текста читателем. В качестве материала исследования были выбраны рассказы Зигфрида Ленца из его сборника “Так нежна была Зулейкен”. Влияние различных композиционных приемов на создание коммуникативного напряжения у читателя было рассмотрено с применением терминов когнитивной лингвистики. Также в настоящем исследовании были выявлены и проанализированы языковые средства, участвующие в создании перлокутивного эффекта (такие как: изменение темпа повествования, градация, повторы, элементы сказового типа повествования).

This work is devoted to the study of linguistic elements and techniques of creating communicative tension in the culmination as a structural element of narration, and also to the problem of reader’s perception of the text. As the material for the research were chosen the novels by Siegfried Lenz from the short story collection "So zärtlich war Suleiken". The study of compositional techniques that are involved into creation of communicative tension was conducted in terms of cognitive linguistics. Furthermore, in this study we have identified and analysed linguistic elements that create perlocutionary effect (for example: the change of narrative tempo, gradation, repetition, peculiarities of the narration in first person).
