Lexico-grammatical aspects of medical checklists' translation: A case study of German and Russian languages

Abstract

В работе рассматриваются языковые особенности перевода аннотации к лекарственным препаратам с немецкого на русский язык. В теоретической части с точки зрения лингвистической типологии текста изучаются аннотации и особенности перевода медицинских текстов, а также экстралингвистические факторы, обуславливающие структуру и выбор языковых средств при переводе аннотации. Для практической части исследования был собран корпус медицинских аннотаций, из которого были выбраны два контрастных примера для проведения лексико-грамматического анализа. В результате сопоставления макроструктуры текстов немецких и русских аннотаций были выделены 13 тематических блоков. В ходе исследования эти блоки были использованы для проведения анализа лексики и синтаксиса русского текста в сопоставлении с исходными текстами немецкоязычных инструкций для потребителей и профессионалов.

The paper deals with the linguistic features of the medicinal annotations’ translation from German into Russian. Theory section introduces a study of annotations from the linguistic texts' typology perspective. The author undertakes to reveal and systematize peculiarities of the medical texts’ translation, as well as to determine extralinguistic factors that complete the structure and choice of linguistic means in the translation of annotations. A corpus of prescriptive texts was assembled to finalize the thesis' analytical chapter - two divergent examples were selected to implement the lexico-grammatical analysis framework. As a result of the macrostructure comparison, based on the corpus of texts in Russian and German languages, 13 clusters were parsed thematically. These blocks were used to scrutinize the vocabulary and syntax of the Russian text correlated to the German source customary and professional instructions texts.
