Peculiarities of phrase-formation in the Brussels variant of the French language

Abstract

В данной выпускной квалификационной работе проведено исследование особенностей брюссельского варианта французского языка во фразеологическом аспекте. Под брюссельским вариантом французского языка понимается язык региона Брюссель, входящий в употребление брюссельского франкофонного населения, наделённый уникальными особенностями, затрагивающими разные уровни языковой системы. Выявлена специфика фразеологического состава брюссельского варианта французского языка в сравнительном анализе двух ареалов: центрального (стандартного французского) и регионального (брюссельского); в контексте внутрирегиональных, инновационных, трансформаций, а также в условиях влияния на брюссельский вариант французского языка германской группы языков, диалектов, а также диалектов Валлонии. Предметом исследования послужили фразеологизмы - брюсселизмы (фразеологические дивергенты, образованные непосредственно на территории Брюсселя) и фразеологизмы – бельгицизмы, распространённые как в Брюсселе, так и в целом в Бельгии. Во фразеологическом аспекте анализа раскрыты представления брюссельского языкового сообщества о явлениях действительности (не только о предметной, но и о ситуативной соотнесённости), а также образность национального мышления. Материал исследования представляет 630 фразеологизмов из словарей бельгицизмов, сопоставляемых с 420 фразеологизмами из нормативных словарей стандартного французского языка, нидерландского языка и валлонских диалектов а также их контекстуальную реализацию в литературе и в газетных статьях разнообразных жанров (1200 контекстов брюссельского варианта французского языка, сопоставляемых с 840 контекстами стандартного французского языка). Исследование затрагивает процессы разных уровней языковой системы. Анализу подлежат парадигматические отношения (синонимия, антонимия, паронимия, омонимия, полисемия), лексико-семантические, лексико-синтаксические трансформации, лексико-семантическая вариативность, заимствование, калькирование, фразеологический параллелизм, синтаксическая сочетаемость, пополнение семантических, синтаксических парадигм конструкций и пр. Результаты функционирования данных процессов представлены в процентных соотношениях в таблицах и диаграммах.

In this graduation qualification work, the peculiarities of the Brussels vatinat of the French language in the phraseological aspect have been studied. The Brussels varinat of the French language is understood as the language of the Brussels region, which is part of the use of the Brussels francophone population, endowed with unique features that affect different levels of the language system. The specifics of the phraseological composition of the Brussels variant of the French language are revealed in a comparative analysis of two areas: central (standard French) and regional (Brussels); in the context of intraregional, innovative, transformations, and also in the context of the influence on the Brussels variant of the French language of the Germanic group of languages, dialects, and the dialects of Wallonia. The subject of the study was phraseological units - brusselisms (phraseological divergents formed directly on the territory of Brussels) and phraseological units - belgicisms, common both in Brussels and in general in Belgium. In the phraseological aspect of the analysis, the views of the Brussels language community on the phenomena of reality (not only on the subject, but also on situational correlation) are revealed, as well as the imagery of national thinking. The material of the study represents 630 phraseological units from dictionaries of belgicisms, compared with 420 phraseological units from the standard dictionaries of the standard French, Dutch and Walloon dialects and their contextual implementation in the literature and in newspaper articles of various genres (1200 contexts of the Brussels version of the French language, matched with 840 contexts standard French). The research affects the processes of different levels of the language system. The analysis is subject to paradigmatic relations (synonymy, antonymy, paronymy, homonymy, polysemy), lexico-semantic, lexico-syntactic transformations, lexico-semantic variability, borrowing, calquing, phraseological parallelism, syntactic compatibility, replenishment of semantic, syntactic paradigms of constructions, etc. Results of the functioning of these processes is presented in percentages in tables and diagrams.
