Art Nouveau in German culture of the 19th–20th centuries

Abstract

Исследование обращено к особенностям развития немецкого варианта художественного стиля модерн, раскрывающимся в наследии ведущих художественных проектов, реализованных в изучаемом периоде, и творчестве наиболее заметных и влиятельных фигур сферы культуры и искусства данного периода. Определяется значение художественного феномена модерна для формирования образа Германии эпохи смены столетий. В работе рассматривается влияние изучаемого направления искусства на формирование культурной ситуации страны на примере анализа двух выбранных регионов, в которых модерн получил наибольшее распространение и развитие - Мюнхена и Дармштадта. Также рассматривается вклад модерна в последующие периоды культурного развития Германии.

Research applies to distinctive features of development of german version the Art Nouveau style, which reveal themselves in ouvre of leading artistic projects, which have been realised in examinating period, and in creative work of the most noticeable and influental figures in the sphere of art and culture of this period. Is determined the significance of artistic phenomena of Art Nouveau for forming an image of Germany of the epoch the replacement of centuries. In work is considered the influence of the investigating artistic movement for creation cultural situation in country on the basis of analysis of two choosed regions, where Jugendstil received the maximum expansion and development - Munich and Darmstadt. Is also viewed the endowment of Art Nouveau for the next periods of the cultural development of Germany.
