Special forms of Italian degrees of comparison of adjectives

Темой данной выпускной квалификационной работы являются степени сравнения прилагательных в итальянском языке. Некоторые прилагательные в итальянском языке (grande, piccolo, buono, cattivo, alto, basso) имеют две парадигмы форм степеней сравнения, и выбор одной из них в каждом конкретном случае может вызывать затруднения у изучающих язык. В существующей литературе недостаточно четко представлены критерии, которыми следует руководствоваться иностранцу при выборе верной формы в соответствии с семантикой и контекстом. Целью исследования было выявить различия в семантике и употреблении регулярных и особых форм степеней сравнения прилагательных grande, piccolo, buono, cattivo, alto и basso, а также определить, какие из форм более употребительны в современном итальянском языке. В первой (теоретической) главе данного исследования рассматриваются данные итальянских грамматик о грамматической категории степеней сравнения прилагательных и об их особых супплетивных формах. Кроме того, речь идет о происхождении данных форм в итальянском языке и о категории элатива. Во второй главе выпускной квалификационной работы производится сопоставительный анализ регулярных и супплетивных форм степеней сравнения прилагательных grande, piccolo, buono, cattivo, alto и basso в итальянском языке на материале словарных дефиниций и художественных произведений современных авторов (Niccolo Ammaniti “Ti prendo e ti porto via”, Elena Ferrante “L’amore molesto”, Alessandro Baricco “Seta”). Кроме того, исследуется частотность употребления данных форм на основе данных корпуса современного итальянского языка PAISÀ. Результаты проделанной работы могут быть использованы на занятиях по итальянскому языку для более глубокого понимания различий в семантике регулярных и супплетивных форм прилагательных, а также для дальнейших исследований в этой области.

The theme of this thesis is the degree of comparison of adjectives in the Italian language. Some adjectives in Italian (grande, piccolo, buono, cattivo, alto, basso) have two paradigms of forms of degrees of comparison, and the choice of one of them in each specific case can cause difficulties for language learners. The aim of this thesis is to identify differences in the semantics and use of regular and special forms of comparison of adjectives grande, piccolo, buono, cattivo, alto and basso, and also to determine which forms are more widely used in modern Italian. In the first part of this paper, the data of Italian grammars on the grammatical category of the degrees of comparison of adjectives and on their special suppletive forms are considered. In addition, we are talking about the origin of these forms in the Italian language and about the category of the elative. In the second part of this paper, there is a presentation of a comparative analysis of the regular and suppletive forms of the degrees of comparison of adjectives grande, piccolo, buono, cattivo, alto and basso in Italian on the material of vocabulary definitions and works of contemporary authors (Niccolo Ammaniti "Ti prendo e ti porto via", Elena Ferrante "L'amore molesto", Alessandro Baricco "Seta"). In addition, the frequency of use of these forms is investigated based on the data of the corpus of the modern Italian language PAISÀ. The results of this study can be used in Italian lessons for better understanding of the differences in the semantics of regular and suppletive forms of adjectives, as well as for further research in this field.
