The syncretism of pagan and Christian tradition in the works of Angelos Sikelianos

Abstract

Выпускная квалификационная работа представляет собой попытку описания механизмов соотношения и взаимодействия античной и христианской традиций (и, в целом, древнегреческой и современной) в творчестве Ангелоса Сикельяноса. В работе дана общая характеристика особенностям рецепции античной традиции в Европе и в греческом контексте. Продемонстрирована трансформация отражения образа великой богини – матери в греческой литературной традиции и в контексте творчества Сикельяноса Описана связь между философскими взглядами Сикельяноса и его позицией применительно к греческому языковому вопросу. Проанализировано соотношение биографии Сикельяноса и мифа его лирического героя в рамках теории о роли автора литературного произведения. Дан анализ наиболее показательным, с точки зрения синкретизма античной и христианской традиции, произведений Сикельяноса.

This work aims to put to test the hypothesis about the specific syncretism of the creative production of Angelos Sikelianos. Within this frame the following tasks have been solved 1 The mechanisms of correlation and interaction of ancient and Christian traditions (and, in general, ancient Greek and modern) in the poetry, philosophy and the creative activity of Angelos Sikelianos have been described . 2. The analysis of some of the texts of Sikelianos himself, as well as one of the poems from Tertzina by the Greek poet and writer Nikos Kazantzakis, dedicated to Sikelianos has been carried on. 3. The reception of the ancient tradition in Europe and in the Greek context has been described 4. The transformation of the reflection of the image of the great goddess - mother in the Greek literary tradition and in the context of the work of Sikelianos has been demonstrated. 5. The relationship between the philosophical views of Sikelianos and his position in relation to the Greek language issue were described 6. Was analyzed the correlation between the biography of Sikelianow and the myth of his lyrical hero in the framework of the theory about the role of the author of a literary work. 7. The analysis of the most revealing, from the point of view of the syncretism of the ancient and Christian tradition, works of Sikelianos has been given.
