Haruki Murakami's "1Q84": The varieties of reading the novel

Abstract

В данной работе представлен интертекстуальный анализ романа Харуки Мураками "1Q84", который будет произведен при помощи использования критических статей и научно-исследовательских текстов. Цель данной работы заключается в исследовании вариантов прочтения романа Харуки Мураками. Основным методом является анализ отрывков из трёх томов романа "1Q84" на русском языке и их сопоставление с материалом критических статей и научных исследований романа на предмет отсылок к различным культурным единицам, таким как кино, музыкальные и литературные произведения. Теоретическая часть данной работы посвящена исследованию творческого пути Харуки мураками, анализу основных тем его трудов, а также рассмотрению культурных аспектов в произведениях Мураками в рамках современной Японии. В практической части будут рассмотрены критические статьи и научные работы, в которых анализировали роман "1Q84" на предмет аллюзий.

This thesis paper presents an intertextual analysis of the novel "1Q84" by Haruki Murakami, which would be provided with the help of the critical essays and research papers. The objective of this thesis paper is to analyze the varieties of reading the novel by Haruki Murakami. The main method used in this study is the analysis of the passages of the three books of "1Q84" in the Russian language and their comparison with the critical essays and research papers dedicated to the studying of the allusions to different cultural units, such as films, musical pieces and literary works in the novel. The theoretical section of the present study is dedicated to the overview of the career of Haruki Murakami, the analysis of the main themes in his works. The cultural aspects in Murakami's works within modern Japan will be also explored. The second section of this thesis paper will explore the critical essays and research papers that previously analyzed the novel "1Q84" for allusions.
