The speech act "reproach" in modern English-language prose

Abstract

Работа объемом 53 страницы посвящена особенностям функционирования РА-упрек в англоязычной прозе. Работа состоит из введения, двух глав с выводами к каждой из них, заключения и списка использованной литературы. Первая глава посвящена рассмотрению основных теоретических положений. Вторая глава посвящена особенностям функционирования речевого акта «упрeк» в современной англоязычной прозе. Для анализа методом сплошной выборки было собрано 17 примеров из рассказов О’Генри. Делается вывод, что РА-упрек функционирует в основном в форме косвенного речевого акта. Одинаково часто РА-упрек направлен и на будущее, и на прошлое. То есть АР-упрек ассертивного типа и РА-упрек директивного типа в равной мере характерны для рассказов О’Генри.

The 53 page study is devoted to. The study consists of an introduction, two chapters with conclusions for each of them, conclusions, and a list of references. The first chapter defines the main theoretical positions. The second chapter defines the peculiarities of the speech act "reproach" functioning in modern English-language prose. 17 examples of the speech act "reproach" were registered from O Henry's short stories. The conclusion is made that the speech act functions mainly in the form of the indirect speech act. The speech acts directed to the future or to the past can be meet equally often. So the speech acts-reproach of the assertive type and the directive type are equally typical characteristic s of short stories by O’Henry.
