The dynamics and factors of the political identity of the Saint-Petersburg residents in economic crisis conditions

Abstract

Санкт-Петербург второй по Федеральному значению город-мегаполис, поэтому, влияние эконoмического кризиса касается его в первую очередь. C нашей точки зрения, экономический кризис является серьезной проблемой для государства и общества, проявляющейся в несоответствии доходов бюджетa их расxодaм, нестабильности и падении валютнoгo курсa нaциональнoй денежной единицы, увеличении безработицы, падении уровня жизни рядовых граждан. В условиях нестабильной экономической и политической ситуации для страны, конструкты политической идентичности склонны к изменениям. Поэтому, факторы и характер изменения политической идентичности необходимо изучать, в данном случае, опираясь на динамику политической идентичности петербуржцев за последние 15 лет. По итогу этого времени, на сегодняшний день, мы имеем несколько законченных электоральных циклов, по результатам которых можно определить уровень, факторы формирования и тенденции изменения политической идентичности в условиях экономического кризиса. Объект: политическая идентичность. Предмет: особенности политической идентичности населения города Санкт-Петербурга в условиях экономического кризиса. Цель: исследование динамики и факторов политической идентичности населения Санкт-Петербурга в условиях экономического кризиса. Актуальность темы исследования определяется необходимостью изучения политической идентичности на локальном уровне, что позволит проанализировать идентификационные особенности и тенденции, характерные для населения Санкт-Петербурга как города-мегаполиса. Это, в свою очередь, оказывает содействие пониманию происходящих политических процессов на макроуровне, выявлению особенностей общественно-политической ситуации на микроуровне и поиску эффективных путей решения проблем, связанных с конструированием идентичности в условиях экономического кризиса. Основные результаты: 1) Среди политических установок политического сознания жителей Санкт-Петербурга, либеральные ценности не доминируют; 2) В период экономического кризиса петербуржцы не перестают быть политически активными; 3) Экономические факторы оказывают существенное влияние на конструкты политической идентичности; 4) В условиях экономического кризиса возрастают позиции центристов; 5) Высокую роль для петербуржцев играет персонифицированная политическая идентичность 6) Динамика политической идентичности петербуржцев не устойчива, в условиях кризиса периоды заметных смещений равны 3 годам, что мало для стабильного общества, направления изменений не линейны.

St. Petersburg is the second most important metropolitan city in terms of federal significance, therefore, the impact of the economic crisis is concerns it in the first place. From our point of view, the economic crisis is a serious problem for the state and society, manifested in the discrepancy between budget revenues and their incomes, instability and the fall of the currency rate of the national monetary unit, the increase in unemployment, and the fall in the standard of living of ordinary citizens. In the conditions of an unstable economic and political situation for the country, the constructs of political identity are prone to change. Therefore, the factors and the nature of the change in political identity should studies, in this case, based on the dynamics of the political identity of the inhabitants of St. Petersburg over the past 15 years. Of this time, we have several completed electoral cycles, based on the results of which it is possible to determine the level, factors of formation and trends in the changing of political identity in the conditions of the economic crisis. Object: the political identity. Subject: the peculiarities of the political identity of the population of the city of St. Petersburg in the conditions of the economic crisis. Purpose: to study the dynamics and factors of the political identity of the population of St. Petersburg in the conditions of the economic crisis. The relevance of the research topic is determined by the need to study the political identity at the local level, which will allow us to analyze the identification features and trends typical of the population of St. Petersburg as a metropolitan city. This, in turn, helps to understand the ongoing political processes at the macro level, to identify the characteristics of the socio-political situation at the micro level and to find effective ways to solve the problems associated with the construction of political identity in the conditions of the economic crisis. Main results: 1) Among the political attitudes of the political consciousness of the inhabitants of St. Petersburg, liberal values do not dominate; 2) During the economic crisis, the inhabitants of St. Petersburg are politically active; 3) Economic factors have a significant impact on the constructs of political identity; 4) In the conditions of the economic crisis, the centrists' positions increase; 5) The personalized political identity plays a high role for the residents of St. Petersburg 6) The dynamics of the political identity of residents of St. Petersburg is not stable, in times of crisis, periods of significant displacements are equal to 3 years, which is not enough for a stable society, the directions of changes are not linear.
