National and cultural specificity of diminutives in the German language

Abstract

Магистерская диссертация посвящена национально-культурным особенностям немецких диминутивов. Цель исследования - анализ употребления диминутивов в диалогической и монологической речи. Предметом исследования являются лексемы и словосочетания, содержащие сему «малости» в современном немецком языке на материале корпуса немецкого языка разделов Mode- und Beauty-Blogs IT-Blogs, Blogs, Webkorpus. Магистерская диссертация состоит из введения, 2 глав, заключения, библиографического списка и приложения. В первой главе проанализированы подходы к трактовке диминутивов в научной литературе, Рассмотрены способы образования диминутивов на словообразовательном и лексико-синтаксическом уровнях. Во второй главе рассматриваются контекстные реализации прагматического потенциала существительных с уменьшительным суффиксом. В заключении излагаются результаты работы. Изучение диминутивов в немецком языке с точки зрения прагматики показало, что национальные особенности употребления диминутивов заключаются в том, что в коммуникативных практиках они выполняют различные функции (выражают иронию или сарказм; используются в сфере услуг для привлечения и удержания клиента; сокращают дистанцию; показывают нежное и доверительное отношение к близким людям и животным).

The master's thesis is devoted to the national and cultural characteristics of German diminutives. The purpose of the study is to analyze the use of diminutives in dialogical and monological speech. The subject of the study are lexemes and phrases in modern German based on the material of the German corpus of the sections Mode- und Beauty-Blogs IT-Blogs, Blogs, Webkorpus. The master's thesis consists of an introduction, 2 chapters, a conclusion, a bibliography and an appendix. In the first chapter, approaches to the interpretation of diminutives in the scientific literature are analyzed, ways of forming diminutives at the word-formation and lexical-syntactic levels are considered. The second chapter examines the contextual realizations of the pragmatic potential of nouns with a diminutive suffix. In conclusion, the results of the work are presented. The study of diminutives in German from the point of view of pragmatics has shown that the national peculiarities of the use of diminutives are that in communicative practices they perform various functions (express irony or sarcasm; are used in the service sector to attract and retain a client; reduce distance; show a gentle and trusting attitude towards close people and animals).
