The impact of new alternative types of transport on the development of transport routes in Russian cities: a case study of St Petersburg

Abstract

В данной работе рассмотрено влияние средств индивидуальной мобильности и велосипедов, являющихся новыми альтернативными видами транспорта, на развитие транспортной системы города. Проведен анализ существующих исследований в области устойчивого транспорта, нормативных документов, методических материалов, научных и прикладных трудов специалистов разных областей. Предложена типология средств индивидуальной мобильности по признакам использования. На примере Санкт-Петербурга были выявлены особенности и проблемы распространения. Практическая значимость результатов исследования заключается в предложении общих рекомендаций по проектированию велоинфраструктуры, которую используют велосипеды и СИМ, соответствующую новым потребностям населения и города.

In this research, the influence of individual mobility aids and bicycles, which are new alternative modes of transport, on the development of the city's transport system is considered. The analysis of existing research in the field of sustainable transport, regulatory documents, methodological materials, scientific and applied works of specialists in various fields is carried out. The typology of means of individual mobility according to the signs of use is proposed. On the example of St. Petersburg, the features and problems of distribution were identified. The practical significance of the research results lies in the proposal of general recommendations for the design of a bicycle infrastructure that bicycles and SIM use, corresponding to the new needs of the population and the city.
