Mathematical analysis of economic efficiency of social security measures

Abstract

Цель данной выпускной квалификационной работы – исследование эффективности вложений со стороны государственной экономики в детей: в детское здравоохранение, образование и социальную поддержку благополучия ребенка. Основная задача – выяснить, существует ли зависимость между объемом подобных вложений и отдачей, получаемой впоследствии экономической системой государства, выраженной в выплачиваемом гражданином за весь жизненный период подоходном налоге. Рассматривается и реализуется модель для оценки экономического эквивалента человеческой жизни, впоследствии данная модель модифицируется для решения поставленной задачи. Выявляется зависимость между расходами бюджета на социальную сферу и ожидаемой продолжительностью жизни и используется для построения функции окупаемости в видоизмененной модели. Все вычисления и графики выполнены в среде MATLAB.

The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to investigate the efficiency of state economy funding children’s welfare, namely education, healthcare and social support. The main problem to be solved is finding out, whether there exists a dependency between the amount of such funding and the “feedback” returned to the state economical system in the form of income tax paid by the citizen during their life period. A model for evaluating the economic equivalent of human life is considered and implemented, after that the model is modified for solving the problem posed. A dependency between the state budget social spending and estimated life expectancy is revealed and used to construct the so-called payback function in the altered model. All computations and graphs are performed in the MATLAB environment.
