Целью данной работы является анализ изменения ценности компании в связи со сменой бизнес-модели.

Для достижения цели были поставлены следующие задачи: 1. Проанализировать теоретические работы о роли бизнес-модели в компании; 2. Найти данные для анализа в базах данных и отчетностях компаний; 3. Проанализировать возможность оценки смены бизнес-модели на основе реальных опционов на обмен активами (компании Quantum-Maxtor); 4. Найти данные для анализа в базах данных и отчетностях компаний 5. Проанализировать кейсы других компаний (WD- Hitachi GST и Seagate- Maxtor) отрасли по смене бизнес-модели 6. Сравнить результаты смены бизнес-модели для кейсов трех компаний 7. Сделать выводы о целесообразности смены бизнес-модели компании Quantum

Основными итогами после проведения анализа стал вывод о том, что существует три сценария при старте нового направления бизнеса: • Начать новое направление бизнеса с нуля, самостоятельно его развивая. • Купить развивающийся, но рискованный бизнес (несмотря на высокий риск, возможна высокая доходность при благоприятном развитии). • Купить стабильный крупный бизнес с маленьким риском, но без потенциально высокой доходности Все три сценария могут привести компанию к различным результатам из-за наличия неопределённости относительно будущего. Компаниям необходимо оценивать потенциальную доходность смены бизнес-модели и минимизировать возможные риски путем выбора оптимального сценария инвестирования. На примере компании Quantum, можно увидеть, что отказ от перспективного направления бизнеса в пользу новых разработок, еще не вышедших на рынок – очень рискованный вариант действий, который в данном случае привел к потерю позиций на рынке.

The purpose of this work is to analyze the change in the value of the company in connection with a change in the business model.

The main results after the analysis was the conclusion that there are three scenarios when starting a new business line: • Start a new line of business from scratch, developing it independently. • Buy a developing, but risky business (despite the high risk, high profitability is possible with favorable development). • Buy a stable large business with little risk but no potential high returns

All three scenarios can lead the company to different results due to the presence of uncertainty about the future. Companies need to evaluate the potential profitability of a change in business model and minimize possible risks by choosing the optimal investment scenario. Using the example of Quantum, you can see that abandoning a promising business direction in favor of new developments that have not yet entered the market is a very risky course of action, which in this case led to a loss of market position.
