The world of sounds in Viktor Astafyev's novel "The Last Tribute": A linguistic aspect

Abstract

Данная выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена исследованию звуковых образов в повести В. П. Астафьева «Последний поклон». В теоретической части исследования рассмотрено зарождение лингвоперсонологии, описаны понятия языковой личности и языковой картины мира. Сделан краткий обзор работ, изучающих звуки в языке и литературе, а также проведен анализ особенностей языка Астафьева. В практической части работы проанализированы звуковые образы в повести; звуки, которые встречаются в тексте, категоризированы. По итогам анализа делается заключение о том, что анализ акустических образов позволяет узнать, как различные звуки взаимодействуют с картиной мира автора. Кроме того, изучение звуковых образов способствует выявлению индивидуальных коннотаций В. П. Астафьева.

This work is focused on the study of sound images in Viktor Petrovich Astafyev's story «The Last Tribute». The theoretical part of the research examines the emergence of linguistic personology, describing the concepts of linguistic person and linguistic picture of the world. A brief review of works studying sounds in language and literature is made, as well as an analysis of the features of Astafyev's language. In the practical part of the work sound images in the story are analysed; the sounds that occur in the text are categorised. As a result of the analysis the conclusion is made that the analysis of acoustic images allows us to learn how different sounds interact with the author's picture of the world. In addition, the study of sound images contributes to the identification of V. P. Astafyev's individual connotations of V. P. Astafyev.
