Lexical semantic problems of implementing international terminology standards in Russian professional space

Abstract

Выпускная квалификационная работа бакалавра на тему «Лексико-семантические проблемы внедрения международных стандартов в российское профессиональное пространство» посвящена актуальным вопросам использования международных терминологических стандартов в российской практике, а также изучению продуктивных методов перевода иноязычных терминов на русский язык. Работа выполнена под руководством профессора кафедры романской филологии СПбГУ. д.ф.н. Марусенко Михаила Александровича. На материале международных терминологических стандартов системы ИСО (ISO 860 “Terminology work – Harmonization of concepts and terms”, ISO 12199 “Alphabetical ordering of multilingual terminological and lexicographical data represented in the Latin alphabet”, ISO 12615 “Bibliographic references and source identifiers for terminology work”, ISO 1216 “Translation-oriented terminography”, ISO 16642 “Computer applications in terminology – Terminological markup framework”, ISO 1087-1 “Terminology work—Vocabulary – Part 1: Theory and application”, ISO 1087-2 “Terminology work—Vocabulary – Part 2: Computer applications”, ISO 704 “Terminology work – Principles and methods”) был составлен корпус терминов из области терминологии, состоящий из 130 единиц на английском, французском и русском языках. При сборе терминологического материала была установлена часть безэквивалентных терминов, предложенные варианты перевода также представлены в отдельном приложении к работе. Данная работа состоит из введения, двух глав и заключения. Во введении определяется цель работы, раскрывается ее актуальность, устанавливается объект и предмет исследования, а также формулируются основные задачи и методологические способы их достижения. В первой главе рассматривается теоретические основы изучения термина и дисциплины терминоведения, анализируется структура и состав терминосистем с точки зрения лингвистики. Также в первой главе описывается структура терминологических стандартов, история международных стандартов и, в частности, история создания и описание работы организации ИСО. Во второй главе представлены теоретические аспекты процессов терминообразования. В этой части работы также проводится анализ составленного корпуса терминов с точки зрения способов их перевода, устанавливаются актуальные проблемы перевода терминов и, связанные с этим проблемы внедрения международных терминологических стандартов в российскую практику. Заключение состоит из выводов и итогов проведенного исследования, а также предложенных вариантов решения проблемы внедрения международных стандартов в российское профессиональное пространство. Результаты данной работы могут быть применены для дальнейшей терминологической работы и разработке решения проблемы, заявленной в теме работы. К основному тексту прилагается список использованной литературы и два приложения, представляющие собой корпус собранных терминов на трех языках и предложенные варианты перевода безэквивалентных единиц.

Bachelor's thesis on "Lexical-Semantic Problems of implenetning International Standards into Russian Professional Space" is devoted to current issues of using international terminological standards in Russian practice, as well as to the study of productive methods of translating foreign-language terms into Russian. This work has been carried out under the supervision of Professor of Romance Philology of St. Petersburg State University, Dr. Marusenko Mikhail Alexandrovich. A terminology corpus of 130 items in English, French and Russian was compiled on the basis of international terminological standards (ISO 860 "Terminology work - Harmonization of concepts and terms", ISO 12199 "Alphabetical ordering of multilingual terminological and lexicographical data represented in the Latin alphabet", ISO 12615 "Bibliographic references and source identifiers for terminology work", ISO 1216 "Translation-oriented terminography", ISO 16642 "Computer applications in terminology - Terminological markup framework", ISO 1087-1 "Terminology work-Vocabulary - Part 1: Theory and application", ISO 1087-2 "Terminology work-Vocabulary - Part 2: Computer applications", ISO 704 "Terminology work - Principles and methods") This terminological material has identified some terms, which are not equivalent and the proposed translations are presented in a separate attachment. This paper consists of an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. The introduction defines the purpose of the work, reveals its relevance, establishes the object and subject of the research, as well as formulates the main objectives and methodological ways of achieving them. The first chapter deals with theoretical foundations of term study and the discipline of terminology, analyzes the structure and composition of terminosystems from a linguistic point of view. The first chapter also describes the structure of terminological standards, the history of international standards and the history of the creation and description of the ISO organization. The second chapter presents the theoretical aspects of terminology formation processes. In this part of the work, we also analyze the compiled corpus of terms in regard of methods of translation, identify the current problems of the translation of terms and related problems of implementing international terminological standards in Russian practice. The conclusion consists of the results and summary of the research, as well as suggested solutions for implementing international standards in the Russian professional space. The results of this work can be applied for further terminological work and development of the solution of the problem, stated in the theme of the work. The main text is accompanied by a list of references and two appendices, representing a corpus of collected terms in three languages and proposed options for the translation of the equivalentless units.
