The lexico-syntactic features of the translation of expressive Russian spoken language into the Serbian language (a case study of the novel by M. Bulgakov "The Master and Margarita")

Abstract

Настоящая выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена лексическим и синтаксическим особенностям при переводе с русского языка на сербский экспрессивной разговорной речи. В качестве материала исследования был выбран роман М.А. Булгакова «Мастер и Маргарита». Актуальность данной работы заключается в недостаточной разработке стилистического аспекта переводоведения с одного близкородственного языка на другой: необходим учет общих характеристик стиля писателя для адекватного перевода экспрессивных диалогических и монологических конструкций. В ходе анализа было выявлено, что лексические и синтаксические особенности разговорной речи передаются с русского на сербский язык с помощью эквивалентов или языковых единиц с близким к оригиналу значением. В большинстве случаев стилистическая окраска сохраняется. При невозможности перевода некоторых особенностей на лексическом и синтаксическом уровнях часто используется прием компенсации, который восполняет безэквивалентные единицы и делает перевод с русского на сербский язык адекватным (прежде всего это касается реалий, концептуальной лексики, характерных только для русского языка лексических и синтаксических средств выражения).

This final qualification work is devoted to lexical and syntactic features in the translation of expressive colloquial speech from Russian language into Serbian. The novel by M.A. Bulgakov "The Master and Margarita" was chosen as the source of the research material. The relevance of this work lies in the insufficient development of the stylistic aspect of translation studies from one closely related languages: it is necessary to take into account the general characteristics of the writer's style for an adequate translation of expressive dialogic and monologue constructions. In the course of the analysis, it was revealed that the lexical and syntactic features of colloquial speech are transmitted from Russian to Serbian with the help of equivalents or language units with a meaning close to the original. In most cases, the stylistic coloring is preserved. When it is impossible to translate some features at the lexical and syntactic levels, the compensation method is often used, which makes up for non-equivalent units and makes the translation from Russian into Serbian adequate (first of all, this concerns realities, conceptual vocabulary, lexical and syntactic means of expression typical only for the Russian language).
