Morphology of hill slopes in the Duderhof heights

Abstract

Целью дипломной работы является изучение морфологии склонов Дудергофских высот, в первую очередь горы Ореховая, с целью определения генезиса многочисленных террас. В работе приведены физико-географический очерк, разделы о геологическом строении, основных гипотезах происхождения Дудергофских высот и результатах выполненного морфологического исследования. На данный момент не существует единого мнения о происхождении Дудергофских высот, поэтому исследования в этом направлении являются актуальными. Определение природы выявленных и изученных террас может помочь в определении генезиса всего уникального геоморфологического объекта - Дудергофских высот. В дипломной работе использовались следующие методы исследования: теоретические (сбор, анализ и синтез имеющихся литературных источников, обобщение, проведение аналогии), эмпирические (натурные наблюдения, морфометрические измерения), анализ и обработка полученных результатов. Морфометрическое исследование террас показало низкую степень их упорядоченности, очень высокую изменчивость и невыдержанность на коротких расстояниях. Это позволяет предположить, что террасы связаны с такими локальными послеледниковыми процессами как нивальная денудация, оползание и гляциокарст. Вышеизложенное соответствует гипотезе гляциотектонического происхождения Дудергофских высот.

The purpose of the thesis is to study the morphology of the slopes of the Duderhof Heights, primarily Mount Orekhovaya, in order to determine the genesis of numerous terraces. The paper presents a geographical outline, sections on the geological structure, the main hypotheses of the origin of the Duderhof Heights and the results of a morphological study. Now, there is no consensus on the origin of the Duderhof Heights, so research in this direction is relevant. Determination of the nature of the identified and studied terraces can help in determining the genesis of the entire unique geomorphological object - the Duderhof Heights. The following research methods were used in the thesis work: theoretical (collection, analysis and synthesis of available literary sources, generalization, and analogy), empirical (field observations, morphometric measurements), analysis and processing of the results obtained. A morphometric study of the terraces showed a low degree of their order, very high variability, and irregularity at short distances. This suggests that the terraces are associated with such local post-glacial processes as nival denudation, landslides, and glaciokarst. The above is consistent with the hypothesis of the glaciotectonic origin of the Duderhof Heights.
