The development of social orientations through school reference groups

Abstract

Данная работа посвящена изучению школьных референтных групп как одного из основополагающих факторов, играющих важную роль в социализации старшеклассников по формированию их ценностно-социальных ориентаций. Приведены теоретические основания изучения феномена референтных групп в социологической науке, определены основные виды и критерии формирования референтных групп, дан сравнительный анализ понятиям «ценности» и «ценностные ориентации». В практической части работы описываются результаты эмпирического исследования, проведенного в трех возрастных группах с целью выявления зависимостей между школьными референтными группами индивидов и их ориентациями после выпуска.

As the title implies the graduation work describes school reference groups as a factor of socialization of upper-formers and developing their valuable and social orientations. It is spoken in detail about theoretical approaches to the study of the phenomenon of reference groups in sociology; the main types and criteria of the reference groups’ development are given. Furthermore, there is a detailed analysis of the difference between the terms ‘values’ and ‘valuable orientations’. The second chapter covers the results of the empirical research which was conducted in order to reveal the correlations between upper-formers’ reference groups and their orientations after graduation.
