Polish verbal nouns and their literary translation as illustrated by "The Cyberiad", a series of short stories by Stanisław Lem, and its Slovenian and Russian translations

Abstract

Данная ВКР бакалавра посвящена изучению приемов образования отглагольных существительных в польском, русском и словенском языках, а также способам перевода польских отглагольных существительных на русский и словенский языки в художественном тексте. Основная цель исследования заключалась в том, чтобы изучить возможные способы перевода польских девербативов на словенский и русский языки, выявить наиболее распространенные приемы перевода отглагольных существительных в рамках близкородственных славянских языков. В ВКР комбинировались такие методы исследования, как сплошная выборка польских отглагольных существительных из текста и сопоставление выбранного материала с художественными русским и словенским переводами; семантический и словообразовательный анализ выбранных форм. Все это позволило реализовать достижение целей и задач исследования, представленных во Введении к ВКР. В ходе исследования были выделены группы приемов перевода польских отглагольных существительных на русский и словенский языки. Особое внимание посвящено семантике дериватов, используемых для перевода. Анализ показал, что несмотря на то, что наиболее частотной моделью перевода является перевод отглагольными существительными русского и словенского языков, семантика действия не всегда сохраняется, что является естественным явлением при переводе художественного текста. В некоторых же случаях семантика действия присуща не только отглагольному деривату, но и существительному, которое не является отглагольным. На это, как правило, указывает контекст.

This Bachelor’s Thesis is devoted to the study of Polish verbal nouns and ways of their literary translation in Russian and Slovenian languages. The purpose of the research is to describe the way verbal nous are formed in Polish, Russian and Slovenian languages and to find out natural methods of the translation of Polish verbal nouns into other Slavic languages, to compare methods of translation, specific for Russian and Slovenian languages, to describe the formations, used in the translation. The Thesis includes such methods of research as selection of verbal nouns in the text and comparison of the selected material with its literary Russian and Slovenian translations; analysis of selected forms from the point of view on the way they were formed and their meaning. All these helped to achieve the aim, presented in the Introduction of this Thesis. Several groups of methods of translation into Russian and Slovenian languages were distinguished in the course of the research. Special attention was dedicated to the meaning of the derivates, used for the translation. Analysis showed, that in spite of the main way to translate Polish verbal nouns is the usage of verbal nouns of Russian and Slovenian languages, they do not always keep the meaning of process, what is normal for literary translated text. In other cases non-verbal nous have the meaning of verbal. These cases are usually shown with the context.
