Issues of separatism in Europe in the 21st century (on example of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Kingdom of Spain)

Abstract

В данной исследовательской работе рассматриваются проблемы сепаратизма в Европе в ХХI веке на примере Великобритании и Испании. Актуальность исследуемой темы определяется той угрозой, которую таят в себе латентные и явные очаги сепаратистской напряженности в разных регионах мира, а в особенности в Европе. Ставится задача исследовать исторические, политические, экономические и культурные предпосылки возникновения сепаратизма в Соединённом Королевстве Великобритании и Северной Ирландии и в Королевстве Испании, сравнить сепаратистские процессы в Испании и Великобритании и выявить основные проблемы, препятствующие урегулированию конфликтов сепаратистского характера в исследуемых странах.

This research addresses to the problems of separatism in Europe in the twenty-first century using the example of Great Britain and Spain. The relevance of the study is determined by the threat concealed by latent and obvious centers of separatist tensions in different regions of the world, and especially in Europe. The task is to explore the historical, political, economic and cultural background of separatism in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Kingdom of Spain, to compare the separatist processes in Spain and the United Kingdom and to identify the vital problems hindering the resolution of separatist conflicts in the countries researched.
