Speech actualization of the value system in English and Chinese

Abstract

Целью данной выпускной квалификационной работы является исследование системы ценностей носителей китайского и английского языков и их отражение как в общечеловеческой картине мира, так и специфической, свойственной английскому и китайскому народу. Особо значимые и важные для носителей языка понятия повторяются в языковой системе. По этому показателю можно узнать приоритеты, которые являются ценностями для носителей определенных языков, а также основные черты их менталитета. В работе рассмотрены вопросы аксиологии о природе ценностей, проанализированы лексические единицы английского и китайского языков по парадигматическому параметру, а также исследованы наиболее важные для носителей фокусируемых языков понятия и их реализация в речи. Исследование системы ценностей носителей китайского и английского языков, определение сходств и различий в их ценностных парадигмах поможет нам глубже понять английскую и китайскую культуры и их взаимовлияние. Знание национальных особенностей в плане системы ценностей необходимо в условиях межкультурной коммуникации, поскольку позволяет преодолеть многие неразрешимые загадки вербального общения.

The purpose of this graduate qualification work is to study the value system of native Chinese and English speakers and reflection of these values both in the universal human picture of the world and in the specific one peculiar to the English and Chinese nations. The concepts especially significant and important for native speakers are repeated in the language system. Based on this indicator, we can identify the priorities acting as values for speakers of certain languages, as well as the main features of their mentality. The work considers questions of the axiology concerning the nature of values, reviews the lexical units of the English and Chinese languages according to the paradigmatic parameter, and also studies concepts most important for speakers of the focused languages and their implementation in the speech. Investigation of the value system of native Chinese and English speakers, identification of the similarities and differences in their value paradigms will help us to better understand the English and Chinese cultures and their mutual influence. Knowledge of national features in terms of the value system is required in the context of intercultural communication, since it allows us to overcome many insoluble enigmas of verbal communication.
