The formation of English conversational skills in first-form pupils using the setting-and-situation method

Abstract

В диссертации рассматривается вопрос обучения первоклассников устному иноязычному общению. Цель работы заключается в научном обосновании и разработке методики формирования умений устной речи на английском языке у учащихся первых классов на сюжетно-ситуативной основе. В работе дается характеристика психолого-педагогических особенностей обучения устной иноязычной речи первоклассников, анализируются особенности лингвистического материала, подлежащего усвоению, раскрывается значение понятия "сюжетно-ситуативная основа", разрабатывается последовательность методической адаптации сюжета художественного произведения, устанавливаются критерии отбора содержания обучения, вырабатывается подход к созданию комплекса упражнений. Завершает диссертацию практическая разработка.Диссертация адресована практикам обучения иностранным языкам учащихся первых классов общеобразовательных школ.

This thesis focuses on teaching oral communication in the foreing language to the first grade pupils in elementary school. The main objective of the thesis is to provide scientific justification and evolve a method for story-and-situation-based teching listening and speaking skills in the English language to the first grade pupils in elementary school. The thesis contains the analysis of the psycological and pedagogical peculiarities of teaching oral communication in the foreign language to the first grade pupils, the specification of the linguistic material to be learnt and the description of the story-and-situation-based teaching method. The order of the story adaptation for the needs of the teaching-learning process, the syllabus design principles and the approach to creating a set of activities have been developed in this thesis paper. The thesis ends with the practical part - a set of activities. The addressees of this thesis are foreign language teachers in elementary school first grades.
