Russian translation of lexical stylistic devices in German art criticism texts

Abstract

Стилистический анализ искусствоведческой монографии является актуальным в связи с той ролью, которую искусство выполняет в развитии межкультурных отношений. Особый интерес он представляет в связи со спецификой искусствоведческого научного текста, в котором на различных стилистических уровнях проявляются такие черты, как эмоциональность и описательность. Значительная часть стилистических особенностей искусствоведческий монографии обусловлена наличием эстетической информации и проявлений индивидуального авторского стиля. В качестве объекта изучения послужили монографии Г. Вёльфлина "Основные понятия истории искусств" и М. Дворжака "История итальянского искусства в эпоху Возрождения XIV-XV века". Целью работы является определение основных стилистических особенностей оригинального искусствоведческого текста, релевантных при переводе, и описание основных способов перевода выявленных лексико-стилистических особенностей на русский язык. Задачи исследования заключаются в следующем: выявить и охарактеризовать стилевые черты искусствоведческого текста; определить тематические группы лексики, свойственных этому типу текстов; проанализировать терминосистему искусствоведения, описать основные особенности передачи стилистических особенностей немецкой искусствоведческой монографии на русский язык.

The stylistic analysis of art criticism monographs is relevant in connection with the role that art plays in the development of intercultural relations. It is of particular interest in connection with the specifics of the art history scientific text, in which features such as emotionality and descriptiveness are manifested at various stylistic levels. A significant part of the stylistic features of the art history monograph is due to the presence of aesthetic information and manifestations of the individual author's style. Monographs by G. Wölfflin " Kunstgeschichtliche Grundbegriffe: das Problem der Stilentwicklung in der neueren Kunst" and M. Dvoržak „Geschichte der italienischen Kunst im Zeitalter der Renaissance. Das 14. und 15. Jahrhundert” were used as the object of study. The aim of the work is to determine the main stylistic features of the original art history text that are relevant for translation, and to describe the main ways of translating the identified lexical and stylistic features into Russian. The objectives of the research were formulated as follows: identifying the stylistic features of an art history text, defining thematic groups of vocabulary inherent in this type of texts, characterizing the terminology system of art history, describing the main features of transferring stylistic features of a German art history monograph into Russian.
