Ethnocontact zones as a factor in the emergence of national geopolitical projects: The case study of the Balkan region

Abstract

В настоящее время проблемы самоопределения этнических групп, а также проблемы регионализации, сепаратизма, ирредентизма и стремления этнических групп сохранять свою самобытность стали появляться чаще. Данная работа посвящена изучению региональных этнических особенностей государств полуострова, детальному рассмотрению этносов, его населяющих, а также определению этноконтактных зон региона и их влияния на современную геополитическую обстановку, в частности на возникновение и развитие крупных национальных геополитических проектов

Nowadays the problems of self-determination of ethnic groups as well as problems of regionalization, separatism, irredentism and aspirations of ethnicities to preserve their identity began to appear more frequently. This thesis is devoted to the study of the regional ethnic characteristics of the Balkan region states, the detailed study of ethnoses inhabiting it, as well as the identification of the region's ethnocontact zones and their impact on the modern geopolitical situation, in particular the emergence and development of major national geopolitical projects
