The hero in the contemporary reportage: A comparative analysis of the Russian Reporter and Newsweek

Актуальность данного исследования заключается в том, что репортаж, благодаря своим выразительным возможностям, является одним из самых мощнейших рычагов воздействия на читателя, а также формирования его мнения, ценностей и приоритетов. В данной работе мы сосредотачиваем свое внимание на исследовании такого компонента репортажа как его герой, так как этот неотъемлемый элемент любого репортажа наравне с другими составляющими жанра создают ту среду, которая позволяет выполнять репортажу свои главные функции – информирования и воздействия. Научная новизна работы обусловлена привлечением нового материала в рамках исследуемой темы. Объект исследования – репортажи в изданиях "Русский Репортер" и "Newsweek". Предмет исследования – особенности и типы героев современного репортажа. Цель данной работы – изучение такого компонента репортажа как его герой, выявление типичных героев современного репортажа и средств, которые используются авторами для их изображения. Для достижения поставленной цели, автор ставит следующие задачи: – описать характерные черты и особенности репортажа как жанра; – привести классификацию героев публикации и средства их изображения; – выявить типичных героев в современных репортажах изданий "Русский репортер" и "Newsweek". – описать выразительные средства, используемые авторами при изображении героя репортажа. К теоретическим методам, задействованным в данном исследовании, относятся методы контекстуального и стилистического анализа текста, синтеза, описания, обобщения, к эмпирическим – сравнение. Теоретическую базу составили научные работы таких специалистов, как Л.Е. Кройчик, М.Н. Ким, А.В. Колесниченко, А.А. Тертычный, С.Г. Корконосенко и другие. Эмпирическую базу исследования составляют восемь репортажей изданий "Русский репортер" и "Newsweek" (период 2013 – 2016 г.г). Дипломная работа состоит из введения, трех глав, заключения, списка литературы и приложения. Во введении определяется основная цель и задачи исследования. Первая глава и вторая глава представляет собой обзор аспектов, связанных с исследованиями жанра репортажа и его героев. В третьей главе представлен анализ героев в репортажах двух изданий – "Русский репортер" и "Newsweek". В Заключении подводятся итоги проделанной работы и формируются выводы.

The relevance of this study is that reporting, thanks to its expressive abilities, is one of the most powerful levers of influence on the reader, as well as the shaping of his opinion, values and priorities. In this paper, we focus our attention on the research of such a component of the reportage as its hero, since this integral element of any reportage, along with other components of the genre, creates an environment that allows reportage to perform its main functions – information and impact. The scientific novelty of the work is attributable to the involvement of new material within the framework of the topic of study. The object of the study is the reports in the publications "Russian Reporter" and "Newsweek". The subject of the study is the features and types of heroes from contemporary reporting. The purpose of this work is to study such a component of the reportage as its hero, to identify the typical heroes of modern reporting and the tools that are used by the authors to represent them. To achieve this goal, the author sets the following objectives: - To describe the characteristics and features of the reportage as a genre; - To classify the characters of publications and tools for their represent; - To identify the typical heroes in the modern reports of the publications "Russian Reporter" and "Newsweek". - To describe the means of expressing used by the authors to present the hero of the reportage. Theoretical methods used in this study, involve the methods of contextual and stylistic analysis of text, synthesis, description, generalization, empirical methods involve comparison. The theoretical basis was created by the scientific works of such specialists as L.E. Kreichik, M.N. Kim, A.V. Kolesnichenko, A.A. Tertychny, S.G. Korkonosenko and others. The empirical base of the study is made up of eight reports of the publications "Russian Reporter" and "Newsweek" (period 2013 – 2016). The thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a list of references and an appendix. The introduction defines the main goal and objectives of the study. The first chapter and the second chapter are an overview of the aspects related to the research of the reportage genre and its heroes. The third chapter presents an analysis of heroes in the reports of two publications – "Russian Reporter" and "Newsweek". The Conclusion sums up the results of the performed work and draws the findngs.
