The language of internet-communication in fostering intercultural competence

Abstract

Данная работа заключается в проведении исследования вербальных и невербальных языковых средств Интернет-коммуникации участников межкультурной коммуникации в сети с целью их включения в содержание обучения английскому языку на современном этапе развития общества. В результате проведённого исследования были установлено, что межкультурная компетенция в интернет пространстве включает знание норм общения в сети с использованием специфических, присущих интернет коммуникации языковых средств. Разработанные материалы могут быть использованы при разработке спецкурсов межкультурной коммуникации, а также в практике обучения русскому язык как иностранному или английскому языку как основному языку межкультурной коммуникации в процессе формирования межкультурной компетенции.

This work consists in studying of verbal and non-verbal language of internet communication among the participants of intercultural communication in the network with the aim of teaching English at the present stage of social development. The research provided for establishing the fact that intercultural competence of the Internet includes knowledge of the norms of on-line communication with the use of specific, inherent in the Internet communication, language facilities. The developed materials can be used in special courses of intercultural communication, as well as in the practice of the teaching and learning Russian as a foreign language or English as the main language of intercultural communication in the process fostering intercultural competence.
