The influence of the indigenous population in political processes in the "Caribbean of the Amazon"

Abstract

Целью данной работы является выявить степень влияния политической активности коренного населения в "Карибской Амазонии" на состояние их уровня жизни, их вовлеченность в политический процесс в регионе, а также определить те трудности, с которыми сталкиваются данные объединения в процессе взаимодействия с государственными институтами. Для достижения поставленной цели автор изучает международное законодательство в сфере прав коренного населения, выявляет исторические предпосылки активизации коренного населения, анализирует коренные движения и степень их вовлеченности в политические процессы в регионе, рассматривает мобильность индейского населения на примере каждой из трех стран и рассматривает современные проблемы коренного населения в регионе. Сценарий тройной границы позволил представить формы, с помощью которых коренные народы стали главными действующими лицами, мобилизуясь на то, чтобы требовать внимания к своим потребностям и заставить Кооперативную Республику Гайану, Федеративную Республику Бразилию и Боливарианскую Республику Венесуэла соблюдать свои юридические обязательства перед коренным населением.

The purpose of this work is to reveal the degree of influence of the political activity of the indigenous population in the Caribbean Amazon on the state of their living standards, their involvement in the political process in the region, and to identify the difficulties faced by these associations in the process of interaction with state institutions. To achieve this goal, the author studies international legislation in the sphere of indigenous rights, identifies the historical prerequisites for activating the indigenous population, analyzes the fundamental movements and the degree of their involvement in the political processes in the region, examines the mobility of the Indian population in each of the three countries and considers the contemporary problems of the indigenous population in the region. The triple border scenario provided the means by which indigenous peoples became the main actors mobilizing to demand attention to their needs and compel the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to honor their legal obligations to the indigenous population.
