New Swedish lexicon: Linguo-cultural aspect

Abstract

Цель исследования состояла в выявлении и описании национально-культурных особенностей новой шведской лексики. Выбор лингвокультурологического аспекта для изучения новой лексики шведского языка обусловлен тем, что новые слова отражают все насущные проблемы и инновации как в социальной, экономической, политической, так и в культурной, духовной областях шведского общества. Проведенное исследование с использованием методов лингвистического наблюдения и описания, а также методов количественного и статистического анализов позволило сделать ряд выводов. К самым крупным шведским и мировым общественным процессам, отразившимся в новых словах, относятся: климатические изменения, формирование гендерно-нейтрального языка, развитие новой экономической модели, появление националистических настроений и увеличившийся приток беженцев и иммигрантов в Евросоюз. Анализ материала также показал, что в последние годы пополнение словарного состава шведского языка преимущественно осуществлялось за счет собственного словопроизводства и заимствований. Результаты работы позволили, с одной стороны, убедиться в определенной стабильности основных характеристик шведской языковой картины мира, а с другой, выявить некоторые возможные пути ее дальнейшей эволюции.

The aim of the master thesis was to identify and describe the linguo-cultural characteristics of the Swedish new vocabulary. The choice of the linguo-cultural aspect for studying the new vocabulary was made due to the fact that all crucial issues and innovations in the social, economic, political, cultural and spiritual spheres of the Swedish society are reflected in the Swedish new words. The research was conducted by using methods of linguistic observation and description, as well as methods of quantitative and statistical analysis. The results of this research showed that the most important social processes of Sweden and the whole world, which were reflected in the new vocabulary, were the climate change, the formation of a gender-neutral language, the development of a new economic model, the appearance of nationalistic mood and the increased arrival of refugees and immigrants into the European Union. The analysis of the material also showed that in recent years the replenishment of the Swedish vocabulary was mainly carried out at the expense of its own word-production and word-loaning. The results of the research, on the one hand, underlined the certain stability of the main characteristics of the Swedish linguistic picture of the world, and on the other hand, identified some possible ways its for further evolution.
