Diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea in the 21st century: 2000-2017

Abstract

Диссертационная работа посвящена актуальной проблеме двусторонних отношений между Российской Федерацией и Республикой Корея. В данном исследовании рассматривались дипломатические отношения между государствами с 2000 по 2017 гг., также уделено внимание экономическому, культурному и научному сотрудничеству двух государств за указанный период времени. Была сделана попытка выявить основные препятствия, мешающие построению всеобъемлющего экономического и политического партнёрства между Российской Федерацией и Республикой Корея. Особое место в работе занимают анализ проекта российско-южнокорейского газопровода через территорию КНДР и оценка «Евразийской инициативы» Пак Кынхе. Данным вопросам, с учётом их важности для научного исследования, посвящены отдельные подразделы.

The thesis is devoted to the urgent problem of bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea. In this study, diplomatic relations between the states from 2000 to 2017 were considered, and attention was paid to the economic, cultural and scientific cooperation of the two states for the specified period of time. It was an attempt to identify remain obstacles to the construction of a comprehensive economic and political partnership between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea. A special place in the work is occupied by the analysis of the project of the Russian-South Korean gas pipeline through the territory of the DPRK and the assessment of the "Eurasian initiative" Park Geuenhue. Given issues, taking into account their importance for scientific research, are devoted to separate subsections.
