Detection and recognition of railway traffic control means using video stream analysis

Рассмотрены существующие методы компьютерного зрения, приведен пример подобных систем для автомобильного транспорта. Предложен алгоритм работы исследуемой системы и выбраны методы анализа кадров видео. Обучен и протестирован каскадный классификатор Виолы-Джонса. Проведено сравнение четырех методов выделения границ. Рассмотрена применимость фильтра Калмана в задаче фильтрации шумов при выделении границ железнодорожных рельс. Описаны способы расчёта относительных координат найденного объекта. Предложены правила автоматизированного процесса выбора области интереса на основании информации, полученной при обработке предыдущего кадра.

The system of diagnostics of the actual location of the means of railway regulation is considered in the work using the example of signs and traffic lights with the help of analysis of the video stream. Existing methods of computer vision are considered, an example of similar systems for road transport is given. An algorithm for the operation of the system under investigation is proposed and methods for analyzing video frames are chosen. The Viola-Jones cascade classifier is trained and tested. Four methods of delimiting boundaries are compared. The applicability of the Kalman filter in the problem of filtering noise in the detection of railway rail boundaries is considered. The methods of calculating the relative coordinates of the found object are described. The rules of the automated process of selecting the area of interest based on the information received during the processing of the previous frame are proposed.
