Cooperation in cinematography between Russia and France today: Challenges and prospects

Abstract

Аннотация. Данная работа посвящена русско-французским кинематографическим связям на современном этапе. Актуальность выбранной темы объясняется тем, что кинематографические связи как пример политики «мягкой силы» широко применяются в современной политической практике. Сотрудничество между Россией и Францией в сфере кино прошло различные этапы, успешно развивалось, трансформировалось, приобретало новые формы, и сегодня активно продолжается. Однако в настоящий момент вопрос современных русско-французских кинематографических связей не изучен широко, основной акцент в исследованиях делается на изучение внешней культурной политики современной России и Франции, но не на их кинематографическом сотрудничестве. Это указывает на актуальность и научную новизну настоящей работы. Цель данного исследования - определение роли современных русско-французских кинематографических связей во внешней культурной политике этих государств и перспектив дальнейшего их развития. Для реализации поставленной цели решаются следующие задачи: 1. Выяснить место кинематографа Франции и России во внешней культурной политике каждой страны соответственно; 2. Изучить основные документы, регламентирующие русско-французский кинематографический обмен; 3. Рассмотреть историю русско-французских кинематографических связей как основу для современного сотрудничества; 4. Охарактеризовать современные русско-французские кинематографические связи, а именно: их основные направления, виды и формы; 5. Выявить основные проблемы и перспективы русско-французских кинематографических отношений. Объектом исследования являются русско-французские кинематографические связи, русские и французские кинокомпании, творческие объединения, общественные организации как акторы международных отношений. Предметом исследования является перспектива дальнейшего сотрудничества России и Франции в кинематографе. Источниковой базой послужили документы внешней культурной политики России и Франции, двусторонние соглашения в сфере кинематографа, соглашения об учреждении культурных центров, коммюнике, аналитические документы агентства Unifrance, статистические данные фонда CNC, сайта Министерства иностранных дел и международного развития Французской Республики, архивные материалы фонда «Открытый мир» сайтов Каннского и Московского Кинофестивалей, новостные материалы Сената Франции, интервью съемочных групп. Теоретической основой исследования послужили работы C.И. Косенко, Ю.В. Николаевой, Н.М. Боголюбовой и Ю.В. Николаевой, Л.Е. Вострякова, М. Арзаканян и Т. Зверевой, Т.Ю. Загрязкиной, О. Горбушиной, Д. Эза, А. Ломбар, Ж.-Ф. Реймона. В процессе исследования были применены следующие методы: сбор и анализ информации при изучении основных документов организации; институциональный метод при изучении роли международных организаций как акторов международных отношений, внешней культурной политики и русско-французского кинообмена; метод систематизации полученных данных с целью получения объективной оценки актуального значения организации на современном этапе международного гуманитарного сотрудничества. Структура работы обусловлена целями и задачами работы и состоит из введения, трех глав, заключения, списка использованной литературы. Первая глава посвящена роли кино в концепции внешней культурной политики в России и Франции, также в ней рассматриваются основные документы сотрудничества России и Франции в области кино. Вторая глава посвящена история русско-французских кинематографических связей. Третья глава посвящена современным русско-французские кинематографические связям. Abstract. This paper is devoted to cooperation between Russia and France in the field of cinematography on the present stage. The topicality of the chosen theme is explained by the fact that ties in the field of cinema as an example of the policy of "soft power" are widely used in modern political practice. Cooperation between Russia and France in the field of cinema passed various stages, successfully developed, transformed, acquired new forms, and continues today. However, at the moment the case of contemporary Russian-French cinematographic ties has not been studied extensively, the main emphasis in research is made on the study of the external cultural policies of modern Russia and France, but not on their cinematic cooperation. This indicates the topicality and scientific novelty of this work. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of contemporary Russian-French cinematographic ties in the foreign cultural policy of these states and the prospects for their further development. We have chosen the following tasks to achieve this goal: 1. To clarify the place of the cinema of France and Russia in the foreign cultural policy of each country; 2. To study the main documents regulating the Russian-French exchange in the field of cinema; 3. To study the history of Russian-French cinematographic ties as a basis for modern cooperation; 4. To describe modern Russian-French cinematographic ties, namely: their main directions, types and forms; 5. To identify the main problems and prospects of Russian-French cinematographic relations. The object of the study are Russian-French cinematographic ties, Russian and French film companies, creative associations, public organizations as actors of international relations. The subject of the study are the prospects of further cooperation between Russia and France in the field of cinematography. The source base of the paper are the documents of the external cultural policy of Russia and France, bilateral agreements in the field of cinema, agreements on the establishment of cultural centers, communiqués, analytical documents of the Unifrance agency, statistics of the CNC fund, the site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development of the French Republic, internet pages of the Cannes and Moscow Film festivals, news materials of the Senate of France, interviews with filmmakers. The theoretical basis of the study are works of S.I. Kosenko, Yu.V. Nikolaeva, N.M. Bogolyubova and Yu.V. Nikolaeva, L.E. Vostryakova, M. Arzakanyan and T. Zvereva, T.Yu. Zagryazkina, O. Gorbushina, D. Haize, A. Lombard, J.-F. Raymond. Following methods were applied in the process of research: information collection and analysis in studying of the organization's basic documents; institutional method in studying the role of international organizations as actors of international relations, foreign cultural policy and Russian-French cinema exchange; method of systematization of the received data with the purpose in order to receive an objective estimation of an actual value of the organization on the present stage of the international humanitarian cooperation. The structure of the work is determined by the goals and objectives of the work and consists of an introduction, three chapters, conclusion, list of used literature. The first chapter is devoted to the role of cinema in the concept of foreign cultural policy in Russia and France, as well as the main documents of cooperation between Russia and France in the field of cinema. The second chapter is devoted to the history of Russian-French cinematographic links. The third chapter is devoted to modern Russian-French cinematographic connections.
