Chinese military modernization as a factor in Sino–Japanese relations (2002–2017)

Abstract

Диссертационное исследование посвящено изучению военной модернизации Китая как фактору в японо-китайских отношениях в 2002-2017 годах. Целью данной работы - доказать высокую степень влияния внутренней политики государства, на примере военной модернизации Китая, на отношения между странами (Китай и Япония). Актуальность работы обусловлена важностью ролей, которые Китая и Япония играют в АТР. Полученные результаты позволяют выявить зависимость внешней политики Японии от той роли, которую играет военная модернизация Китая, а также спрогнозировать будущие внешнеполитические стратегии данных стран. Работа выполнена с применением системного подхода, компаративистского и исторического методов, что позволило наиболее эффективно решить поставленные задачи работы. В исследовании рассматривается целый комплекс источников, связанных как с военной модернизацией Китая, так и с развитием японо-китайских отношений. Акцент в работе сделан на обзоре влияния фактора военной модернизации на изменения во внешней политике Японии и Китая. Автор приходит к выводам, что военная модернизация Китая, как элемент внутренней политики, в итоге привела к эскалации конфликтов в японо-китайских отношениях и становлению более агрессивной внешней политики.

The thesis is dedicated to the study of China's military modernization as a factor in Japanese-Chinese relations in a period of 2002-2017 years. The purpose of this work is to prove the high impact of the China's military modernization on Japanese-Chinese relations. The relevance of the work is determined by the importance of the roles that China and Japan play in the APR. The results will allow to reveal the dependence of Japan's foreign policy on China's military modernization actions, and also to forecast the future foreign policy strategies of these countries. The work is performed with the use of systematic approach, comparative and historical methods, which allow the author to achieve the set objectives most effectively. The study considers a whole range of sources related to both the military modernization of China and the development of Japanese-Chinese relations. The focus is on reviewing the impact of the military modernization factor on changes in the foreign policy of Japan and China. The author comes to the conclusion that China's military modernization, as an element of domestic policy, as a result led to the escalation of conflicts in Japanese-Chinese relations and the development of more aggressive foreign policy.
