The impact of sanctions against Russia on its investment climate and industrial policy

Abstract

Данная работа посвящена изучению состояния инвестиционного климата, промышленной политики России в частности и изменениям в результате введенных экономических санкций со стороны Запада. Влияние санкций на инвестиционный климат и промышленную политику вследствие сегодняшних событий является для России весьма актуальной темой. Применение санкций оказывает воздействие на большинство сфер деятельности, однако на экономику в этом случае приходится наиболее сильный удар. В работе рассмотрены основные экономические показатели российского рынка, определены приоритеты в повышении инвестиционной привлекательности России и выявлены направления ее промышленной политики. Акцентировано внимание на то, что для экономического роста и привлечения иностранного капитала следует сформировать благоприятный качественный инвестиционный климат. Также необходимо развивать отечественные производительные мощности на основе внедрения инновационных технологий, реиндустриализации и модернизации промышленности.

This work considers the condition of the investment climate, industrial policy of Russia in particular and changes in a result of the imposed economic sanctions from the West. Taken the today's situation, the influence of sanactions on investment climate and industrial policy is a very hot topic for Russia. The application of sanctions makes the impact on majority of fields of the activities, however the economy is taking the strongest blow in this case. In the work the main economic indicators of the Russian market are considered, the priorities in the incrase of the investment appeal of Russia are defined and the directions of Russian industrial policy are revealed. We also make the attention that for the economic growth and for the attraction of the foreign capital it is necessary to create a favorable qualitative investment climate. It is also necessary to develop domestic production capacities on the basis of the introduction of the innovative technologies for the reindustrialization and modernization of the industry.
