Chukan bungaku («middlebrow literature») as part of the contemporary Japanese literary practice

Abstract

Предмет исследования дипломного проекта - промежуточная литература Японии. Объект исследования - японская литература ХХ - начала XXI века. Цель исследования - определить место и статус промежуточной литературы в литературном процессе современной Японии, её отличия от чистой и массовой литературы, в частности - рассмотрев художественные особенности произведений, относимых к этому типу литературы. Объём дипломной работы составляет 107 страниц и включает: введение, три главы, заключение, список литературы и приложение. Для написания проекта использовано 88 источников. Во введении раскрывается актуальность исследования, ставится проблема, цель и задачи исследования, формулируется актуальность данной темы. В первой главе рассматриваются понятия чистой и массовой литературы. Во второй главе осуществляется попытка дать определение промежуточной литературе, проследить исторический ход развития и указать на социальные факторы, определяющие её развитие. В третьей главе проанализировано творчество писательницы Ёсимото Банана, делается попытка выделения черт промежуточной литературы в её произведениях. Заключение посвящено выводам по эффективности литературного анализа с точки зрения принадлежности произведений к массовой, чистой или промежуточной литературе. К работе прилагается перевод части текста повести Ёсимото Банана "Первая любовь".

The subject of the graduation paper is Japanese middlebrow literature. The object of the study is Japanese literature of the XX and early XXI centuries. The purpose of the study is to determine the place and status of middlebrow literature in the literary process of modern Japan, its differences from pure and mass literature, particularly - considering the artistic features of works, attributed to this type of literature. The volume of the thesis is 107 pages and includes introduction, three chapters, conclusion, bibliography and appendix. 88 sources were used to write the project. In the introduction, the relevance of the research is revealed, the problem, the purpose and objectives of the research are posed, the urgency of the topic is formulated. The first chapter deals with the concepts of pure and mass literature. In the second chapter, an attempt is made to define middlebrow literature, to trace the historical course of its development and to point out the social factors that determine its development. In the third chapter, the work of writer Yoshimoto Banana is analyzed, an attempt is made to identify the features of the middlebrow literature in her works. The conclusion is devoted to the conclusions on the effectiveness of literary analysis from the point of view whether the literary work belongs to mass, pure or middlebrow literature. The translation of the part of the story of Yoshimoto Banana's "First Love" is attached to the work.
