Тема миграции активно освещается прессой разных политических направлений, что оказывает существенное влияние на формирование общественного мнения. Сторонники разных идеологических убеждений имеют различные точки зрения по поводу вопросов миграции, что находит отражение в прессе левой и правой политической направленности. Таким образом, освещение темы миграции в СМИ может влиять на формирование определенных позиции у аудитории относительно этого вопроса. Поэтому важно изучить, как освещается тема миграции изданиями левой и правой политической направленности. Также стоит отметить, что данный подход к изучению вопроса миграции в американской прессе мало встречается в современных отечественных и зарубежных исследованиях. Объект исследования – современная американская пресса левой и правой политической направленности. Предмет исследования – освещение миграционных процессов в США в газетах “Dallas Morning News”, “San Francisco Chronicle”, а также в журналах “National Review” и “Atlantic”. Цель работы – выявить особенности освещения темы миграции в американской прессе левой и правой политической направленности. Цель исследования определила задачи: - обозначить основные этапы в истории миграции США ХХ века и определить проявление на каждом из них позиции американских правых и левых политических сил в отношении вопроса миграции; - представить характеристику современной прессы США левой и правой политической направленности; - проанализировать освещение миграционной тематики в американской прессе левых и правых политических направлений. Основные методы, использованные в данном исследовании, относятся к разряду общенаучных – исторический метод, анализ, сравнение и синтез. Теоретической базой для исследования послужили труды отечественных и зарубежных авторов. Для изучения миграционных процессов в истории США автор опирался на следующие работы: «Иммигранты в США» Л. А. Баграмова, «Иммиграция и гражданство» С. В. Филиппова, а также исследования Гарвардского университета. С целью выявить основные позиции левых и правых политических течений относительно вопроса миграции были изучены работы Ч. Данна, Л.Эдвардса, В. Р. Золотых, В. В. Согрина, а также книги по истории зарубежной журналистике под редакцией С. А. Михайлова. Материалом для изучения современной прессы разных политических направлений в США стали научные статьи Т. Джонсона, А. Марантца, Р. Мак-Хенси. В качестве эмпирической базы была использована выборка публикаций газет “Dallas Morning News”, “San Francisco Chronicle” и журналов “National Review” и “Atlantic” в период за январь-апрель 2017 г. Выбор хронологических рамок обусловлен активным освещением миграционной тематики в период президентства Дональда Трампа в связи с принятием новых указов в области иммиграционной политики. Структура работы. Работа состоит из введения, трех глав, каждая из которых содержит по два параграфа, заключения, библиографического списка.

The topic of migration is actively covered by the press of various political trends, which has a significant impact on the formation of public opinion. Supporters of different ideological convictions have different points of view on migration issues, which is reflected in the left and right political press. Thus, coverage of the topic of migration in the media can influence the formation of certain positions among the audience regarding this issue. Therefore, it is important to study how the issue of migration is covered by publications of the left and right political orientation. It is also worth noting that this approach to the study of the issue of migration in the American press is little found in modern domestic and foreign studies. The research purpose is to identify the features of coverage the topic of migration in the American press of the left and right political orientation. In accordance with this goal, the following tasks are set:  Identify the main stages in the history of US migration of the twentieth century and to determine the manifestation in each of them of the position of American right-wing and left-wing political forces with regard to migration  Present the characteristic of the modern press of the USA of the left and right political orientation;  Analyze the coverage of migration issues in the American press of the left and right political orientation. The object of the study is the modern American press of the left and right political orientation. The subject is the coverage of migration processes in the US in the newspapers "Dallas Morning News", "San Francisco Chronicle", as well as in the magazines "National Review" and "Atlantic". The theoretical basis of the qualifying paper includes works of domestic and foreign authors. To study the migration processes in US history, the author relied on the following works: "Immigrants in the United States" LA Bagramova, "Immigration and Citizenship" by SV Filippov, as well as studies by Harvard University. In order to identify the main positions of the left and right political trends on the issue of migration, the works of C. Dunn, L. Edwards, V. Zolotykh, V. V. Sogrin, and also a book on the history of foreign journalism edited by SA Mikhailov . The scientific articles of T. Johnson, A. Marantz, and R. McHensey became the material for the study of the modern press of various political trends in the United States. The empirical base was selection of the publications of the newspapers Dallas Morning News, San Francisco Chronicle and the National Review and Atlantic magazines in the period January-April 2017. The choice of the chronological framework is due to the active coverage of migration issues during the presidency of Donald Trump in connection with the adoption New decrees in the field of immigration policy. The basis of the methodological basis was laid down: the historical method, the method of comparison, the analysis and synthesis. The qualification work includes an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a list of references and applications.
