The reflexion of Russian and American reality in the Mexican newspaper discourse: Analysis and comparison

Abstract

Настоящая работа имеет своей целью выявить особенности отражения российской и американской действительности в мексиканском газетном дискурсе. Работа состоит из введения, четырех глав, заключения, библиографического списка, включающего в себя 23 наименования,и списка интернет источников, включающего в себя 12 пунктов. Данное исследование выполнено на 63 страницах. Опорой исследования служит теоретический материал по политической лингвистике и языковому манипулированию, позволяющий адекватно проанализировать языковые средства, употребляющиеся в публикациях мексиканских газет. Теоретической части данного исследования посвящена первая глава. Также в работе рассматриваются исторические предпосылки развития отношений между Россией и Мексикой (во второй главе) и США и Мексикой (в третьей главе), что позволяет адекватно оценить современное состояние отношений между вышеупомянутыми государствами. Практической частью работы является анализ публикаций в мексиканских газетах, а именно - языковых средств, которые встречаются в этих публикациях и задают им определенный тон, выражающий отношение мексиканского государства к России (это рассматривается во второй главе) и к США (это рассматривается в третьей главе). В четвертой главе производится сравнительно-сопоставительный анализ указанных публикаций с повторным указанием зафиксированных стилистических, лексических и грамматических средств выражения мысли, и на основе данного анализа делаются выводы о том, каким образом в языке публицистического дискурса отражаются господствующие в средствах массовой информации тенденции. В нашем исследовании мы постарались показать важность и актуальность изучения языкового манипулирования в политическом дискурсе. Ранее в области политической лингвистики не проводились исследования языкового манипулирования на примере публикаций мексиканских газет, поэтому мы надеемся, что настоящая работа обладает определенной значимостью и способна положить начало более крупным исследованиям мексиканской периодики.

The present research has as a purpose the revealing of particularities of the reflection of Russian and American reality in the Mexican newspaper discourse. The work consists of introduction, four chapters, conclusion, the list of bibliography that has 23 items and the list of Internet sourses that has 12 items. The research takes up 63 pages. The research is based on the theoretical data on the political linguistics and language manipilation that allow to analize correctly the language means that are in the items of news in the Mexican newpapers. The first chapter is dedicated to the theoretical basis of the present research. Also in the work are examinated the historical preconditions of the development of the relation between Russia and Mexico (in the second chapter)and the USA and Mexico (in the third chapter)that allows to evaluate correctly the actual situation of the relation between the above-mentioned states. The practical part of the research is the analysis of items of news in the Mexican newspapers, more specifically of the language means that we can see in these items of news and that create a special style that expresses the attitude of the Mexican state to Russia (it is examinated in the second chapter) and to the USA (it is examinated in the third chapter). The fourth chapter realises the comparative analysis of the mentioned items of news with the repeated indication of the recorded stylistic, lexic and grammatic means of expression of ideas and based on them are made the conclusions about how the dominant in the mass media tendencies are reflected in the language of the political discourse. In the present research we have tried to demonstrate the importance and the topicality of study of the language manipulation in the political discourse. The studies of the language manipulation in the area of political linguistics in terms of items of news of the Mexican newspapers have never been made before, so we hope that the present work has some significancy and that it can be the start of the bigger researches of the Mexican periodicals.
